The online generation of ABC accounts has already begun, but students have reportedly faced difficulties with the Aadhaar verification process during account creation. In a meeting on February 14, 2023, the University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar called upon vice chancellors to ensure 100 percent registration on the ABC portal for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year as part of the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
